Basics

What is the Yendo credit card?

A credit card secured by your vehicle instead of a cash deposit. It's issued by Cross River Bank, Member FDIC, runs on the Mastercard network and is managed through the Yendo app.

Is Yendo legit?

Yes. Yendo is a real US company, and its cards are issued by Cross River Bank. It has been covered by NerdWallet, Credit Karma and Fortune. Always read the cardholder agreement before applying.

Is this website Yendo?

No. Yendo Credit Card USA is an independent guide and is not affiliated with Yendo, Inc. The personal loan form on our homepage is from a third-party network, not Yendo.

Costs

What APR does Yendo charge?

A fixed 24.88% to 35.88% on purchases and cash advances, depending on your offer.

What is the annual fee?

$40 to $69, depending on the card you're offered.

Does Yendo earn rewards?

Yes, 1.5% unlimited cash back on purchases.

Can I get a cash advance?

Yes, but it costs 3% of the amount and interest starts right away.

Is Yendo better than a title loan?

Usually, yes. The FTC notes title loans can reach about 300% APR, while Yendo's APR is fixed at 24.88% to 35.88%. Both use your car as collateral, so both carry risk.

Eligibility

How is my credit limit decided?

Mainly by your vehicle's value, age, mileage and condition, and how much you owe on it, plus your income and credit profile. Your exact limit appears when you check your offer.

Does checking my offer hurt my credit?

According to Yendo, checking pre-approval does not affect your credit score.

Which vehicles qualify?

Cars, SUVs, vans and light-duty trucks from 1996 or newer that are in working condition, whether owned, leased or financed.

Which states is Yendo available in?

40 states. It's not yet available in Alaska, Delaware, Hawaii, Iowa, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, South Dakota, Vermont or Washington, D.C.

Your car

Does Yendo take my car?

No. You keep the car and keep driving it. Yendo records a lien on the title. If the account defaults, the lender may pursue repossession under your agreement and state law.

How do I get my title back?

Pay the balance to $0 and close the account. Yendo releases the lien and either returns your title or sends a lien release, depending on your state.

Credit

Does Yendo report to the credit bureaus?

Yes, to all three: Equifax, Experian and TransUnion. On-time payments can help, and late payments can hurt.
